Leave it to Elon Musk to stir up controversy without saying – or tweeting – a word.
In November, according to a regulatory filing, Tesla’s CEO donated about 5 million shares of the company, worth $5.7 billion, to charity. Since the Securities and Exchange Commission filing was made public on Monday, Tesla has not responded to a request for comment. Musk also didn’t mention the donation on Twitter, his favorite communication forum.
